Lance Younger is from the small town of Loranger Louisiana. He began playing guitar when he was 12 years old. By the time he was 14 he was in an alternative band formed by fellow high school musicians. One day while listening to the radio he heard Stevie Ray Vaughans rendition of "the sky is crying" and from that day forward he became a student of the blues. Shortly thereafter he formed "The Younger Blues band" a blues power trio playing music from "Hendrix to Vaughan and Beyond". While playing with the trio he teamed up with his cousin Truman Holland in the band "Rusty Bonz" playing shows in Nashville and the entire gulf coast region for years. With smoky soulful vocals and a powerhouse guitar style he continues making a name for himself with Big Al and the Heavyweights.
